I am happy to report that the on-line Missouri Deaf Educator Community of Practice (CoP), developed by Missouri State University under contract with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, is now available to connect professionals serving preK-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing in Missouri with peer support and resources.

The Deaf Educator CoP contains many valuable resources:

* Ask the expert forum

* General discussion forum

* Grade-level-based classroom resources and activities in various subjects

* Information sharing on cochlear implant, hearing aid, and assistive listening device

* Monthly newsletter

* Teacher blogs

* Current research

* Resources for parents

* Contact directory

* Employment opportunities

* Workshops/CEU opportunities

* Funding opportunities

* Other online resources

The CoP is a work in progress and is a dynamic resource, depending on participation to be successful.  We hope this website will be a place to share ideas, classroom activities, and receive/provide support to other professionals.

Please join us as we embark on this exciting journey creating a community of professionals dedicated to serving deaf and hard of hearing students in Missouri!
