A workshop on Introduction to Tactile Graphics will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2009, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the University of Missouri, Columbia, #7 London Hall.  Workshop participants will learn basic techniques for making tactile graphics from the simplest representations to more complex maps and graphs.  Materials and tactile graphic tools will be available on site.  Participants will make a tactile graphic of choice.

Cost for this workshop is $65 per person.  Cancellation for the workshop is required five days prior to the event.  No-shows will be charged the full price of the workshop; however, school districts may substitute pre-registrations without penalty.  Six hours of professional development will be awarded at the completion of the workshop.  Snacks, lunch, parking hangtags, and workshop supplies will be provided.  To register, go to http://www.heartofmissourirpdc.org and click on Workshop Registration, Heart of Missouri RPDC Online Catalog.
