The Blind Skills Specialist at the Heart of Missouri RPDC will be hosting a workshop titled Introduction to Tactile Graphics for Students with Visual Impairments on February 12, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Heart of Missouri RPDC, #7 London Hall, University of Missouri Columbia Campus.  The cost of the training is $65 which includes snacks, lunch, and parking.

Workshop participants will learn basic techniques for making tactile graphics from the simplest representations to more complex maps and graphs. Participants will learn how to design tactile graphics from Microsoft Word than can be embossed on a Braille embosser.  To enroll, go to http://www.heartofmissourirpdc.org/ and follow workshop registration link which will take you to My Learning Plan.  Follow the instructions given.
