SUBJECT: Missouri's Runaway and Homeless Youth Grantees

I’d like to remind local liaisons in districts where Runaway and Homeless Youth grantees are located to reach out to them and coordinate on McKinney-Vento services for the secondary school-eligible youth they serve. While this information may not pertain to all of you, it is an excellent time to remind local liaisons about collaborations and on-going outreach in your communities..
The chart below includes the new grants awarded in September by the Family and Youth Services Bureau at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The program codes include BCP for Basic Center Program, SOP for Street Outreach Program, and TLP for Transitional Living Program. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Since 2008, the US Department of Education has tried to send out this chart once per year as part of a memorandum of agreement between the Student Achievement and School Accountability Programs office and the Administration on Children and Families at HHS.
