Waiver Notice Request for Comments
Missouri is requesting a waiver from the U. S. Department of Education for (1) Cadre I LEAs to have additional time to develop and implement the transformation model and (2) Cadre II LEAs to extend the period of availability until September 30, 2014. Comments must be received by January 31, 2012.

2012-2013 Cadre II, Year 1 1003(g) School Improvement Grant (SIG) Notification of Eligibility
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is releasing the Cadre II, Year 1 LEA/District School Improvement Grant eligibility list and grant application.
2011-12 Renewal Applications
Department staff will be contacting 1003(g) SIG grant contacts during the week of June 27th to negotiate the 2011-12 renewal applications. Renewal applications will not be approved with carryover funds. Those funds will be amended in to the approved application after the approval of the Final Expenditure Report (FER).
The FERs for the 1003(g) SIG grant are due September 30th. Only one FER will be accepted. Payment requests will remain open through September. Carryover amounts available for the 1003(g) SIG grants will be determined following submission of the FER. Once completed and approved, the budget and application may be amended to incorporate those carryover funds. Any changes in the budget or activities must be approved by Robert Taylor and Dennis Dorsey prior to the activity or change being approved in ePeGs.
