HSTW/TCTW/MMGW Implementation Grants Available
In support of Top 10 by 20 Goal 1: All Missouri students will graduate college and career ready, the Department is offering an implementation grant opportunity for schools seeking to implement High Schools That Work (HSTW), Technology Centers That Work (TCTW), and Making Middle Grades Work (MMGW). These initiatives offer a framework of goals, key practices and key conditions for accelerating student learning and raising standards.
Eligible applicants are comprehensive public high schools wishing to implement HSTW as a stand-alone school improvement model, or in partnership with a "feeder" public middle school which would begin implementation of MMGW. Likewise, public shared-time area career centers which seek to implement TCTW are eligible to apply alone to implement that initiative without a partnering high school, or in league with a high school which would become a newly funded HSTW site.
The deadline for receipt of proposals to this IGA is 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 9, 2013. Full execution of any and all grant awards made as a result of the IGA process is contingent upon continued availability of funding.
Unaccredited schools FAQ
The Department has prepared a frequently asked questions document to address common questions related to school districts which are or may become unaccredited.
