Macon High School Senior Elected National FBLA Officer
Alexandra Blodgett, a senior at Macon High School, Macon R-1 School District, has been elected North Central Region Vice President of the National Future Business Leaders of America.
Blodgett was elected to the national board at the FBLA National Leadership Conference held this summer in Orlando, Fla. As a national officer, she also will serve as an ex-officio member of the Missouri state officer team.
Blodgett has been involved with FBLA since her freshman year of high school, serving as her chapter president, district president and on the North Central Region Executive Board.
“Alex displays key leadership skills in her district, as well as at the state level,” said Christina Hess, Missouri FBLA state adviser and business education supervisor with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. “These qualities make her a good choice for national office. She staged a highly energetic and effective campaign and will represent Missouri well.”
Outside of FBLA, Blodgett plays basketball, softball, runs track and holds leadership positions in numerous other student organizations.
FBLA is the largest business career student organization in the world with over a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. Missouri FBLA has 15,442 members in 403 chapters across the state, the second largest chapter in the nation.
