About the Program
Enrollment Policy: Deadline for enrollment is June 30, 2012. After June 30, registration will be $375 and subject to availability.
Schools that choose to hold a spot in anticipation of hiring a new instructor must provide teacher information to MCCE by July 6, 2012. After July 6, the spot will be provided to a participant on the waiting list.
Due to a deadline by the hotel for a rooming list, we cannot enroll anyone after July 13.

Education & Training
New Teacher Institute is designed to provide new educators the skills needed for a successful start to the first day in the classroom and to continue that success throughout their teaching careers. NTI is an inclusive seven-day event that wraps around the MoACTE Summer Conference. Participants are enrolled in the NTI/Foundations of Education course (CTE 4140) through the University of Central Missouri, and can earn 3 credit hours toward their Career Education Temporary Authorization Certificate (TAC) or Career License to Teach Secondary or Adult students..

Teacher Leaders are exceptional career education teachers who enjoy working with new teachers to help them gain skills in leading instruction, planning curricula, assessing student learning, managing a classroom, and developing professional relationships. Teacher Leaders work with a cohort of 5 to 7 new teachers, facilitating small group discussions, providing specific feedback, and serving as a role model.
