Praxis II Assessments Designated for Certification in Missouri
The Missouri State Board of Education has designated and approved the Missouri Qualifying Scores for the Praxis II Assessments listed to fulfill the exit testing requirements for educator certification.
Effective September 2012 and Continuing Through August 2013

Important Notes Relating to the Assessments Listed Below:
Certification by Praxis – The areas marked with * can be added to a valid Missouri Professional or Life Certificate by passing the designated assessment and requesting the certification be added to their certificate.
Paper Based Assessments – Test codes beginning with 0 or 1 indicate a test that is offered by a paper-based format at one of 22 test sites in Missouri. The registration fees beginning with the 2012-2013 testing year have been eliminated.
Computer Based Assessments – Test codes beginning with 5 or 6 indicate a test that is offered on a computer-based format at one of 14 Prometric or Strategic Testing Network sites in Missouri.
Test Dates –
- Paper-Based Assessments are offered on 6 national test dates.
- Computer-Based Assessments (CBA) are offered in two different time frames. 1) Candidates who are taking the World Language Tests (Chinese, French, German, Spanish) and the School Leaders Licensure Assessment have very specific test windows. 2) The remaining tests can be re-taken if necessary every 31 days.
