Solutions to Common Problems

Problem:  No data collection link is available on the Application Menu.

Solution:  The user does not have access to Data Collection.  (See #1 under USER ID’S/PASSWORDS on the Web Logon Screen.) 

Problem:  Unable to login to the DESE Web Applications, “Password is invalid” message appears.

Solution:  If a Data Collection User Id/Password has been assigned to you, e-mail

webreplyafsit@dese.mo.gov.  (See #7 under USER ID’S/PASSWORDS on the Web Logon Screen .)  If no Data Collection User ID/Password has been assigned to you, please submit a Login ID Request Form.  (See #1 under USER ID’S/PASSWORDS on the Web Logon Screen .)

Problem:  District name is not displayed on the Data Collection menu or subsequent screen.

Solution:  Internet connection or application was probably interrupted.  Close Internet browser and re-enter login page.

Problem:  A message similar to the following appears after screen link has been clicked,  “August cycle only screen.  Data will not be saved”.

Solution:  The proper year or cycle were not selected from Data Collection menu.  Return to Data Collection Menu (click Data Collection Menu link at the top of the screen) and select proper year and cycle.

Problem:  No “Save” button is available.
