Pathways to Partnership Conference
to be held in Columbia, October 14
Business representatives, adult education professionals and policymakers are invited
The Dollar General Literacy Foundation, the National Coalition for Literacy, and the Missouri Adult Education and Literacy program will hold a statewide conference Oct. 14 to focus on the impact of low literacy on the Missouri workforce. The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Select, 2200 I-70 Drive S.W., Columbia, Mo.
Join business representatives, adult education professionals and policy makers for presentations and dialogue about sharing strategies and best practices for working together to address this issue having a tremendous impact on the workforce competitiveness of Missouri.
The NCL and its member organizations are on the cutting edge of policy, practice and research in adult education, family literacy and English language development. NCL's objectives include building capacity at the local level and raising public awareness about literacy issues.
Columbia will be the final site in the series of regional, one-day conferences. Since 2006, five meetings have been held in Nashville, Tenn.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Baltimore, Md.; Spartanburg, So. Car.; and Houston, Tex.
