MoSTEP Examiner Training

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education provides training to individuals to serve on site-visit teams to conduct reviews of professional education programs at Missouri’s colleges and universities in conjunction with the Missouri Standards for Teacher Education Programs (MoSTEP) review process.  The review teams include examiners who are K-12 teachers, administrators and other certificated school personnel, as well as higher education faculty.  Individuals who have served as MoSTEP Examiners have said that participating in the training and serving on a site-visit team are among the best professional development events they have experienced.

MoSTEP Examiner Training is accomplished via a three-day workshop, which is free to participants. Individuals completing the training are reimbursed for lodging, travel, and meals. The school district is reimbursed for the cost of substitute teachers. If you are interested in participating, please submit the MoSTEP Examiner Biographical Information Form, which may be completed online; you may choose to print the form, complete it and mail it to the address shown on the form or fax it to (573) 522-5085.
