SUBJECT AREAS THAT CAN BE ADDED BY COMPLETING DESIGNATED PRAXIS II ASSESSMENT
The State Board of Education has designated the Praxis Assessments listed below
to add areas of certification to an existing professional or life Missouri certificate.
(Individuals who hold only a Student Services certificare are not eligible to add areas of certification by Praxis)
Only areas with * can be added by test to a valid Missouri Professional or Life Certificate.

NOTE: Individuals holding a Missouri professional or life certificate in a secondary content area (Agriculture Education, Business Education, English, Family and Consumer Sciences, Industrial Technology, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, or Speech/Theatre) may add on middle school certification in the same content area by achieving a score of 160 or better on the test entitled Principles of Learning and Teaching 5-9, test code 30523.
To add an area by test: Submit a written request or an Application for Additional Certificates of License to Teach and a copy of the appropriate test score report. Please send the required information to Educator Certification, PO Box 480, Jefferson City, MO, 65102.
