Subject: Final FY12 Allocations Posted for IDEA Part B Entitlement

The final FY12 IDEA Part B Entitlement Allocations are now posted at: http://dese.mo.gov/divspeced/Finance/ and http://dese.mo.gov/divspeced/Finance/partbentitlement.html.  These final FY12 allocations are in the ePeGs system.  Please note that FY11 carryover amounts for regular Part B are NOT part of the FY12 allocation amounts.  In order for carryover funds to show in the FY12 allocation in ePeGs, the Special Education Finance staff must first approve the FY11 Part B FER.  If you create the FY12 Part B Budget Application before the FY11 Part B FER has been approved, you will need to revise the FY12 application in order for the allocation to include carryover funds.  Please remember, FY11 Part B ARRA funds will NOT be carried over to FY12.  All Part B ARRA funds must be expended by September 30, 2011.

New charter schools will show a zero FY12 Part B allocation in the ePeGs system until the Special Education Finance Section calculates those allocations in February 2012.  Existing charter schools with significant expansion will have their FY12 Part B allocations recalculated in February 2012.  Questions may be directed by email to spedfunding@dese.mo.gov or by calling 573-751-0622.
