Due to a temporary shortage of Funds Management staff and the time involved in testing new ePEGS processes, we are requesting school district staff refrain from calling the Funds Management Section with questions (Funding/ ARRA/FER/Budget, etc) throughout the balance of this week.
Many questions being asked have already been answered on the Funds Management webpage. A quick review of that webpage might answer most of your questions.
If you have a critical question, please submit the question by email to:
webreplyspefm@dese.mo.gov. In this way we can distribute the question to other available appropriate staff and get a response to you in a shorter period of time.

Below are answers to several of the recent frequently asked questions:
ARRA Part B Funds - Do I get an ARRA allocation in FY10 & FY11?
No--you get this allocation in FY10 only and must spend by 9/30/11 (1 year carryover period).

Capital Cost Worksheet - When will it be available?

Capital Costs (renovation, construction, buses) - Should I enter capital
costs for renovation, construction, or buses in Part B application?
Wait until you receive approval from DESE and amend the Part B Budget Application. (You can amend at any time and as many times as needed.)
ECSE June prorated payment - How is it calculated?
Proration was 84.8% of the June payment. The remaining funds will be paid in July.
Excess Cost field (Part B Application) - What do I do about Excess cost?
Leave cells blank, you will get an edit but it can be ignored. DESE will compute for each district.
Maintenance of Effort (MOE) Worksheet - Where is the MOE worksheet?
It is now a part of the Part B FER that should be available July 1.

Part B Final Payment for 2008-09 (remaining 10%) - I missed the June 18 deadline. How will I get this remaining amount?
The remaining amount will be paid upon approval of the district's 2008-09 Part B FER. (FER will be available around July 1).
Proportionate Share - Does calculation include Part B ARRA funds?
Yes, all the same rules for Part B apply to Part B ARRA.
