Governor Nixon has signed two bills into law which contain emergency clauses. These bills directly impact schools.
HB 682 http://www.house.mo.gov/print.aspx?info=/bills091/bills/hb682.htm
allows an exception for the 2008-09 school year regarding the laws for school make-up days due to inclement weather.
HB 236 http://www.house.mo.gov/print.aspx?info=/bills091/bills/hb236.htm
establishes Kaitlyn's Law. This bill requires school districts to allow certain students with disabilities to participate in graduation ceremonies after four years of high school attendance.
These bills can be viewed by entering the bill number (HB682 or HB236) on the bill tracking website http://www.house.mo.gov/billcentral.aspx.
