As part of the Missouri Integrated Model Summer Institute, Mike Mattos will be presenting on integrating tiered models of support and how to build consensus and staff buy-in.  DESE will be opening up the presentation on June 22 to educators in the field through the State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG).

Mike Mattos is principal of Pioneer Middle School in Tustin, California.

A thriving professional learning community (PLC), Pioneer has consistently ranked among the state's top schools for student performance and has received national recognition.  He authored the book Pyramid Response to Intervention: RTI, Professional Learning Communities, and How to Respond When Kids Don't Learn and has contributed to several other anthologies and videos.
