The U. S. Department of Education's "What Works Clearing House" and the Institute for Education Science have released a practice guide on RtI entitled "Assisting Students Struggling with Reading: Response to Intervention (RtI) and Multi-Tier Intervention in the Primary Grades." This guide offers teachers strategies to help struggling readers and implement evidence-based strategies to promote reading. The guide also provides research on the effectiveness of RtI.
