Providers with an official enrollment date after July 1, 2004 who have not successfully completed all the required modules for their provider type(s) within 6 months of their official enrollment date will have their name removed from view on the provider matrix and will receive no new authorizations. The six-month grace period is designed to assist providers with the initial transition into the new system.
Providers will remain removed from view on the provider matrix and will not be able to receive new authorizations until all required modules for the provider type(s) have been successfully completed. This does not mean that providers will be disenrolled from the First Steps system. They will be able to continue providing services on current authorizations.
