DESE certified Speech Teachers without a state license will use 8200000000 as the pseudo-NPI until Medicaid
issues a separate number for each teacher.
When enrolling as a MO Medicaid Provider, the National Provider Identifier (NPI) is now a required field. Please
apply for an NPI before completing the MO Medicaid On-Line Enrollment Application.
The previous NPI implementation date of May 23, 2007 has been extended. Medicaid will notify providers when the NPI number will be mandatory for billing.
For districts participating in School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) only, districts will report all of the providers on their Provider Participation Rate (PPR) form that they refer students to in the community.
