NEW!Transition/NASDSE Satellite Teleconference: Moving from High School to Post-school Opportunities: Transition Components and Strategies for High School Redesign

Links are now available for the fourth satellite conference of the 2008 NASDSE series. The live broadcast via satellite will be on May 7, 2008, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CDT). The conference will be accessible in the online streaming media version 24 hours a day, 7 days a week AFTER Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at 12:00 p.m. CDT.

DESE has purchased a workshop from the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE), for public school district administrators, on Meeting the Needs of Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HOH).

Last Fall the Division of Special Education extended an invitation for public school districts (including public charter
schools) to apply for $2 million dollars in competitive Special Education Improvement Grants.
