This year we have once again purchased the National Association of State
Directors of Special Education (NASDSE) satellite series for school
districts. We hope you will take advantage of this excellent and convenient
resource for professional development.
The conference series for 2007-08 includes telecasts that feature nationally
recognized experts discussing topics associated with this year's theme "High
School and Beyond: Strategies and Opportunities for Positive Results."
This series provides a convenient professional development opportunity for a
variety of stakeholders in both general education and special education.
Participants may watch the conference series offerings using several viewing
options. Printed handouts are available from the website listed below for
presentations in the series. Reproduction of media versions and printed
materials is allowed for in-state educational non-commercial use. You may
not charge participants to participate or for printed materials.
VIEWING OPTIONS:
Traditional Satellite downlink - will be available for those who would like
to receive the series live using a satellite downlink. This method provides
group participation in live professional development. Recording and
reproduction of the presentations (VHS, DVD, etc) is allowed in unlimited
quantities for future professional development.
Streaming Media - will allow participants to watch the conference from their
computer at their convenience an unlimited number of times. This option also
provides streaming media viewing for an unlimited number of people
(computers). Streaming media will not be available for approximately one
week after the satellite downlink version of each session to allow NASDSE
adequate time to prepare access. Streaming media versions will be available
from their release date until the close of the 2008-09 series offering.

Technical information to facilitate accessing streaming media versions is
not posted until at least one week after each satellite downlink
presentation has concluded. The information for streaming media access will
be added to the web address above as soon as it is available.
