DESE has purchased a workshop from the National Association of State
Directors of Special Education (NASDSE), for school district administrators,
on Meeting the Needs of Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH).
This workshop is limited to 50 participants, who MUST be school
administrators and will be held in Jefferson City on November 1-2. Specifics
about registration will be sent later on, but we wanted you to have the
dates well in advance should you be interested.
Registration for the workshop will be free; however, you will need to pay
for your travel expenses.
The workshop is designed to deliver the most current information on
requirements, practices, and resources for improving educational services
for students who are DHH. Participants will identify state issues and
solutions and create a DHH community of practice.
