We have received several questions from school districts regarding the
August 20, 2007, letter informing them of their local determination related
to implementation of the provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities
Education Act (IDEA). These questions alerted us to the fact that there were
errors in the chart we had attached to the letters. The criteria shown
for "Dropout Rate" and "Assessment Performance" were incorrect.
Corrections to that attachment have been made, and the revised document can
be accessed at

Please note these revisions do NOT result in any changes to the scores or
determinations that were reported to districts in the August 20, 2007,
letters. The calculations were based on the correct criteria. We apologize
for any confusion this error may have caused.
