Subject: ECSE/First Steps Transition-New Training Module Available

A new DESE training module is now available at http://www.desemoodle.org that covers the transition of children from First Steps, Missouri's early intervention program, to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) in a local school district.  The information in this module is pertinent to both early childhood educators and First Steps providers.  The module is free and open to anyone interested in completing the training for professional development purposes. 

First Steps providers are required to complete the module, pass the examination, and submit their score to provider enrollment at the Central Finance Office.  We strongly encourage ECSE personnel to access this training module as well.  In order to access the training, you will need to complete the following steps:

1) Visit http://www.desemoodle.org/

2) Click 'Create New Account'

3) Create a username/password, supply personal information (e-mail address, first/last name, city)

4) In a confirmation e-mail, you will find a link to click that confirms your registration.  Click on that link.

5) Once you have confirmed your registration, you will find a course listing.  Click "Module IV: Transition."
