Subject: MAP-A ProFile Information

The 2007-08 version of the Measured Progress ProFile is available through a link on the DESE website or at

http://www.measuredprogress.org/Assessments/clients/missouri.html.  

The document was upgraded on January 14, 2008.  This upgrade is only necessary for teachers using ProFile to assess students in grades 5, 8, and 11 (the grades at which science is assessed).  It corrects the strand information on the science forms. 

The PC installation software is setup to detect whether an earlier version of the software is on the computer.  If ProFile already exists on the computer, it upgrades it without affecting the teacher's student data.  If ProFile does not exist on the computer, then it does a full installation.  The Mac installation always does a full installation, but gives an alternate name to the MO2008Fg folder that is created.

Additional directions for Mac users are outlined in the help pdf on the upgrade.

This year ProFile is available in the downloadable version (just as in previous years) and a new web-based version.  Both versions are also available on the Measured Progress website.
