Subject: Data/Reminder for Core Data Screen 08 - Graduate Follow-up

Core Data Screen 08 (Attendance Center) of the February cycle includes a section entitled "Follow-up on 2006-2007 Graduates" which is to be used to report the post-graduation activities of prior-year graduates.

Graduates with disabilities should be included in the gender and racial/ethnic totals.  In addition, two columns of this screen pertain directly to graduates with disabilities. 

The column labeled "IEP" is to be used for reporting follow-up for graduates who had IEPs; these graduates would also be reported in the gender and racial/ethnic columns.  The column labeled "COOP" is to be used for reporting follow-up for graduates who were participants in a VR Cooperative school-work program; these graduates would also be reported in the "IEP" column and the gender and racial/ethnic totals. 

This information is required for the State Performance Plan and will be included in the public reporting of data at the district level as required by the U. S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP).  Please work with the person who compiles follow-up data on graduates to ensure correct reporting.
