Subject: Readers for the Blind Applications

The deadline for submission of the Readers for the Blind Program
applications for the 2006-07 school year is January 31, 2007. A current eye
report (3 years old or less) must be attached to the application
when submitted to the Funds Management Section.
Funds Management will forward applications to Rehabilitation Services for
the Blind for certification and, if approved, notify the school district of
the student's eligibility. The district must verify, no later than May 15,
2007, the number of readers used during the school year and the dates
services started and ended.
