Directions to Governor
Office Building Note:
The Governor Office Building (GOB) is located on the southwest
corner of Madison Street and Capitol Avenue. Metered
parking is available near the building on adjoining streets, but meters
will allow only up to two hours of parking.
It is suggested that you use the City Parking Garage which is
located on the southeast corner of Capitol Avenue and Madison Street –
across Madison Street from the GOB. If
you are driving into Jefferson City from the north: Take Hwy 54/63 across
the Missouri River and take the first exit, Main Street. Turn left/east
onto Main Street and follow the street half way around the Capitol
Building - now you are heading east on Capitol Avenue. The first street
light is Jefferson Street with the Jefferson Building on your right. The
second street light is Madison Street with the parking garage on your
right. Turn south/right onto Madison Street to enter the parking garage's
main entrance (on your left). The GOB is to your right. If
you are driving into Jefferson City on Hwy 54 from the south/west: Follow
Hwy 54 into Jefferson City to the third exit, Madison Street. [Madison
Street is the next exit after Stadium Blvd./Tanner Bridge road.] Follow
Madison Street north, past a 3-way stop and 4 stop lights. The 4th light
is High Street. Once you cross High Street, the parking garage's main
entrance will be on your right. The GOB is to your left. If
you are driving into Jefferson City on Hwy 50 from the west: Follow Hwy 50
east through Jefferson City to the 4th street light, Madison Street.
[Madison Street is the next street/light after Jefferson Street.] Turn
north/left onto Madison Street and follow Madison through 2 street lights.
The second street light is High Street. After crossing High Street, the
parking garage's main entrance will be on your right. The GOB is to
your left. If
you are driving into Jefferson City on Hwy 50/63 from the east/south:
Follow Hwy 50 to the 2nd street light, Madison Street. [Madison Street is
the street/light after Monroe Street.] Turn north/right onto Madison
Street and follow Madison through 2 street lights. The second street light
is High Street. After crossing High Street, the parking garage's main
entrance will be on your right. The GOB is to your left.
