The Missouri Migrant Education and English Language Learning program is sponsoring this workshop for ESL and Special Education coordinators to help them through the process of identifying and delivering services to English language learners.  This full-day session will explore the special considerations when implementing the RTI process with ELLs based on their unique language, cultural and educational characteristics.  Participants will learn what each Tier should look like for ELLs going through the RIT process, in terms of the types of interventions that are recommended, with particular emphasis on language and literacy development. Dr. Nancy Cloud, Coordinator of the M.Ed. in TESL Program at Rhode Island College, will be the presenter.
