Homeless Children and Youth Grant Application for 2009-2010

The Discretionary Grants’ section will conduct a meeting to discuss the 2009-2010 Homeless Children and Youth Grant Application which will be available this week at http://www.dese.mo.gov/divimprove/fedprog/discretionarygrants/homeless/ .

The Homeless Application workshop will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 in Jefferson City at the 1st floor conference room of the Jefferson Building (205 Jefferson Street) from 9:30 a.m. till 12:00 p.m.  Parking is available in the public parking garage located east of the Jefferson Building at 201 Madison Street.  The purpose of this meeting is to provide current information which is critical to the completion of the application and the effective implementation of this program.  Because the grant application has undergone some revisions, it is important that the person(s) involved in the grant planning and application process attend this meeting. 

Topics to be discussed include the administrative manual, the application process, and the 2009-2010 grant time line.  You will also be given the opportunity to ask questions and address issues and concerns you may have about the completion of the Homeless Children and Youth Grant Application.  The postmark deadline for the Homeless Children and Youth Grant Application will be May 15, 2009. 

Prior notice concerning your attendance is necessary in order to finalize preparations for the meeting.  Please RSVP by email to renee.hasty@dese.mo.gov by Friday,
