SUBJECT: 2011-2012 NCLB Consolidated Application open and Technical Assistance Workshops June 14-16
LISTSERVE MESSAGE DATE: June 6, 2011
The 2011-2012 NCLB Consolidated Application is now open. The due date to have your application submitted is on or before July 1, 2011. If your budget is not submitted before July 1, 2011, you may not obligate funds until your NCLB budget has been successfully submitted and you have a substantial approval date.
If you have questions about your NCLB budget application please contact your Federal Compliance supervisor http://dese.mo.gov/divimprove/fedprog/grantmgmnt/documents/qs-11-fed-comp-and-supervisor-map.pdf . If you have questions about your allocations, payments or FER’s please contact our Financial Management Section http://dese.mo.gov/divimprove/fedprog/financialmanagement/moneymail.htm .
We will be hosting Technical Assistance Workshops on June 14, 15 and 16th at the Nichols Career Center (605 Union Street) in Jefferson City. The objective of these workshops is to allow LEAs to input budget information into the NCLB consolidated application with Federal Compliance Supervisors on site to help. LEAs would need to be able to confirm Membership and Free and Reduced lunch counts on Step 1 of the BOA as well as enter budget amounts, FTE’s and Student counts. The computer lab has 24 computers available and will be open from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm each day. LEA’s may bring multiple people to assist in entering the budget information; however, each LEA will only be allowed to work on 1 computer so that we can accommodate as many LEA’s as possible. Please confirm which day you plan to attend by submitting an e-mail to email@example.com no later than Monday, June 13th and indicate if you will be attending in the morning or afternoon. (Please keep in mind that we must leave sharply at 4:00 pm each day.)
Nonpublic consultation forms and Supplement not Supplant (SNS) worksheets can found at http://dese.mo.gov/divimprove/fedprog/grantmgmnt/publication_and_forms.html. We have made a change to the SNS worksheets this year. The information for the SNS worksheet is district level information. In the past you have completed a SNS for each building in your district when using federal funds to reduce class size. For the 2011-2012 school year, you will only need to submit one SNS worksheet that has district wide numbers reported.
