SUBJECT: Applications Available for Migrant Summer School Projects

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is announcing that funding is available for Missouri districts to conduct summer school projects for active migrant students. The migrant summer projects must be supplemental to any locally-funded summer activities and can only be made available to students who have a current Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to be served by the Migrant Education Program.
The application must be submitted by June 4, 2010. Project activities may begin on July 1, 2010 and must be completed by August 15, 2010. Awards will be made on a competitive basis.

An informational teleconference will be conducted in the morning of May 21, 2010, for districts that have any questions about the application process for the Migrant Summer School Project.
