Course Descriptions for Foreign Language-French Classes
- Children’s French I
Traditionally, when learning a language, most of one’s time is spent learning complex grammar rules, listening to lectures, and drilling vocabulary. This course, however, takes a different approach. When children learn their native language, it is not through studying grammar and memorizing long vocabulary lists. Instead, they learn by listening to others, and in turn, grasp a functional fluency in the language. In this course, the student will gain mastery by listening, speaking, and writing in the French language. Some of these activities involve singing, acting, drawing, telling stories, and interactive games.
o Children’s French II
