Answer

Student answers will vary with discussion similar to the following:

1.   The y-intercept is not effected by the change as in both cases it is (0,5).

On the other hand, the x-intercept changes because in the first equation it will be -5/3 while in the second one it becomes -5/2.

2.   The slope of the line in the first equation is 3 which means it goes up from left to right at a faster rate than the second which has a slope of 2.

3.   The graph in the second equation becomes less steep than the first.  Both are linear functions.
