Library Media Expenditure Recommendation
Per Student for Materials and Supplies
Library media center expenditures for materials should be at least 1 percent
of the state average per eligible student expenditure.
The annual state average per pupil expenditure may be found on the
School Data and Statistics Department Web site:
http://dese.mo.gov/schooldata/
     From that web page,
find and select your school district from the Alphabetical Listing of
School Districts;
select Educational Resources;
select School Finance Data;
find the row Current Exp per ADA (average daily attendance);
follow the row to the far right for the state average (yellow cell)
Multiply the dollar figure by .01 to calculate the 1% recommendation.
$7,679 x .01 = $76.79 per student for materials and supplies in the
LMC
This is an example for school years 2001-2005.
