AV TECHNICIAN

POSITION TITLE: AV Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Skills

Previous technical experience working with the repair and maintenance of the AV equipment.

Personal Skills

-Work effectively with staff members in resolving hardware problems

-Strong personal initiative and ability to work in a school environment without close supervision

-Must be able to maintain positive approach despite conflicting deadlines, shifting priorities, and simultaneous work demands

-Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively schedule multiple projects or tasks to meet simultaneous deadlines

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repair of audio equipment-including P.A. systems and intercoms

Repair of video equipment-including VCR’s and TV/Monitors

Repair of projection equipment

Repair of laminators

Maintenance of phone lines and modems throughout district

Repair of computer monitors

Maintenance of AV district inventory

Maintain accurate AV parts inventory

Responsible for securing bid prices on AV equipment bought by district

Provide support and training to district personnel on use of AV equipment

Assist district personnel by providing special cables, wiring, equipment and set-up’s for school events and projects.

Maintain a preventative maintenance program on all audio-visual equipment

Provide technical support to new broadcast department

Assist on delivery truck

Other duties as directed by supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Month

SALARY: Commensurate with training and experience
