FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT

Student presentations. Students create posters, brochures, PowerPoint presentations or other products to make this a multi-media presentation, adding challenge and enjoyment to the project. Students work in pairs (or whatever grouping is necessary), each assuming the role of one of the speakers, and perform the dialogue for the class. Since Americans love to rank everything (and to make sure that students pay attention to all presentations), have listeners take notes, then compare individual “top 10 best cities” list.
