Students use computers to begin researching their animal topic. Students find articles using the internet.
R3C Use details from texts to answer questions, retell main idea and important details, organize a sequence of events, identify simple cause and effect, draw conclusions, compare and contrast texts, identify author’s purpose for writing text, and make inferences about problems and solutions.

1. Use the anchor chart to review types of information students need to research.
2. Students begin searching using Yahooligans. Bookmark this site in advance. Students use their linking word chart to locate and record information.
3. Require students to use at least three articles from the internet.
