Student Checklist

Be sure your writing:

·         Has an effective beginning, middle, and end

·         Contains a topic sentence

·         Progresses in a logical order

·         Contains three or more supporting sentences

·         Clearly addresses the topic

·         Contains sentences that are clear and varied in structure

·         Shows an awareness of audience and purpose

·         Contains few errors in writing mechanics

·         Includes at least one specific media message for each  picture

·         Includes comparison and contrast

·         Includes an appropriate graphic organizer
