FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Students finish reading the remainder of the book and complete the Anticipation Guide independently. They pick three to five underlined vocabulary words and write them in a complete sentence.

Strategy |
Anticipation Guides are also known as reaction guides. They are a form of graphic organizer, which help students use prior knowledge to predict what might happen in a story. They also serve to have students focus during reading to discover which of these statements are actually identified and/or supported by the text. |
