work for me for two summers.   More recently, John worked for me at the Corner Drug Store.

John was an energetic yard worker and a great employee at the Corner Drug Store.  He was always on time, cheerful, and friendly to the customers.  He helped
to stock the shelves and assisted me at the checkout station.  John was a loyal and hard worker.  For example, he stayed past his regular closing time several
times to help sweep the floor.

mature and personable.  I would expect him to perform well in any retail environment. In fact, his personality and skills should take him a long way in his career.
