The SkillsUSA Mid-America Leadership Conference will be held October 19 - October 23, 2011, at the New World Inn, Columbus, Nebraska. The address is:

Missouri SkillsUSA views the MID-AMERICA LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE as an important step in the training process of officers and advisors. The CONFERENCE is based on the SkillsUSA OUTSTANDING CHAPTER GUIDELINES. The participants work hard and learn more than they could imagine while having fun. The participants will return motivated. This CONFERENCE is designed to provide hands-on learning experiences and will aid all participants in running leadership activities. You will also gain valuable insight into other state and local SkillsUSA chapters and what they do.
SkillsUSA Official attire shall be worn during all General Sessions. The SkillsUSA National Code of Conduct shall apply to this conference. Do not over pack. Each participant is limited to one bag and a carry-on.
Registration expenses are the responsibility of each chapter. SkillsUSA Missouri will make all room arrangements and assignments. The following registration packages are available for the four days in Nebraska:
Package A (4 to a room, 10 meals and registration) - $225.00
Package B (2 to a room, 10 meals and registration) - $285.00
Package C (1 to a room, 10 meals and registration) - $400.00
You will need to bring enough money for meals on the bus trip and for items you may wish to purchase at the Conference. If special accommodations need to be made, please contact us as soon as possible, but no later than the registration deadline of October 1, 2011.
All cancellations must be made in writing. No refunds after October 1.
Missouri SkillsUSA has reserved one bus for transportation to Nebraska. All Missouri SkillsUSA participants must ride the bus to and from Nebraska. The registration fee covers the cost of the bus. It is the responsibility of the local chapter or SkillsUSA district to transport the students to and from the pickup point. The bus will leave the St. Louis area on Wednesday October 19, 2011, at approximately 9:00 a.m. It will travel along I-70 to Kansas City then North on I-29, with the final pickup at St. Joseph. We will let you know the pickup places and times when we see who will be attending. The bus will depart Columbus, Nebraska at approximately 10:30 a.m. Sunday and arrive in St. Louis by 9:00 p.m. Call 573-751-4460 if there are any questions concerning this trip.
Please remember to have personal health insurance cards or ID cards with you at all times. If students do not have individual insurance cards, please be sure that they bring photocopies of both sides of their parent or guardian’s card for which they are eligible to receive benefits. Also bring the SkillsUSA Mid-America Leadership Conference REGISTRATION, PERSONAL & LIABILITY RELEASE FORM, which you will turn in when you board the bus.
