Guidance and Counseling Services

The Goals for Guidance and Counseling in 2010-11 include:

To develop on-line professional development opportunities for school counselors, teachers, and administrators
To develop an on-line training module for results-based evaluation
To develop a state-wide system of support to assist all school districts in fully implementing their comprehensive guidance and counseling programs
To ensure that all new counselors are involved in the mentoring program
To promote the Gysbers Award and the Success Award for schools fully implementing their comprehensive guidance programs
To enhance and improve the usability of the Guidance e-Learning Center
To review and revise as necessary the Internal Improvement Review document
To review and revise the State Guidance Manual
To update standards for career center guidance programs
To manage statewide implementation of Missouri Connections
