Equipment Guidelines
Update to the Equipment Guidelines
At the MCCTA Fall Conference, a concern was expressed in the Postsecondary Issues session regarding the division’s equipment guidelines. The current guidelines only allow the replacement of equipment funded with state dollars after five years from the original date of purchase. Because of this requirement, some individuals thought the guidelines posed a concern for computers. Therefore, the group requested the guidelines be reviewed and the requirement be changed to three years.
After several discussions regarding this issue, the guidelines have been revised to allow replacement of equipment after three years. This change will be effective July 1, 2004.
