Missouri DECA
State Officers
Sixteen student members provide leadership for more than 9,500 Missouri DECA members. The President, Vice President, Secretary and Reporter are elected annually at the Fall Leadership and State Officer Election Conference, while each district elects its own District Vice President. The State Action Team develops and executes a Program of Activities each year that reflects the four points of the DECA Diamond: civic consciousness, leadership development, social intelligence, and vocational understanding.

"Serving as a state officer is incredibly rewarding, and the experience that you gain is unlike anything else available in high school. The fact that sixteen high school students can come together and raise thousands of dollars for a charitable organization, plan every aspect of a three day event (State CDC), and provide guidance for thousands of students and teachers is unbelievable. As an officer, you will experience personal growth through improved communication, organizational, leadership, and teamwork skills. You will also gain a network of friends and mentors that will enrich your life and benefit you in the future."
— Leigh Stephenson, Missouri DECA State President 2005-2006
and District 7 Vice President 2004-2005
