Special Activities
With Missouri DECA's strong partners in the marketing industry, our chapters and members are given many opportunities that are beneficial to their learning and success. These opportunities align with the points of the DECA Diamond:

Social Intelligence: To gain knowledge of social graces, to develop poise, and to prepare and attend well-planned social events.

Civic Consciousness: To learn to recognize individual responsibilities and obligations to the community by studying the needs of the community and planning activities to improve the community. to realize individual responsibilities within the Free Enterprise System.

Vocational Understanding: To acquire first-hand knowledge and gain a greater understanding of marketing and management opportunities available in the individual's chosen career area.
- Leadership Development: To participate in opportunities which allow the individual to develop as a leader and to work as an effective team member.
Opportunities for our Missouri DECA members will be posted continuously as we receive them from our partners.
Missouri ACTE Legislative Day
Date: TBA — Jefferson City, Missouri
Vocational Understanding, Leadership Development, Social Intelligence
Build awareness for Career and Technical Education, Marketing and Cooperative Education, and Missouri DECA in the State Capitol by attending the Missouri ACTE Legislative Day. In celebration of Career and Technical Education Month in February, DECA members can promote Missouri's premier marketing and cooperative education program to state legislators. Missouri DECA's president will attend a proclamation signing with the Governor.

RACE Into Reading
Civic Consciousness, Leadership Development
Reading About Career Experiences is an interactive school/community service project between DECA along with other Missouri CTSO members and elementary students. Participation in the project allows elementary students to learn about a variety of career opportunities and allows the CTSO member to develop leadership skills and serve as a positive role model for elementary students.
