High School Marketing Students Reach to Become the Career Leaders

Students across the State will gather at Missouri DECA's 64th Annual State Career Development Conference, held at the Lodge of Four Seasons in the scenic Lake of the Ozarks on March 18-20, 2012.  These future leaders will have opportunities to compete for their chance to represent Missouri at DECA's International Career Development Conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 27-May 2, 2012.

Students will compete in more than 30 competitive events.  Regardless of the event a student competes in, every competition provides a constructive avenue for individual and team expression, initiative and creativity.  Once students demonstrate their acquired skills, they are recognized on stage in front of their peers as the top marketing students in Missouri.

DECA Central Region Leadership Conference

Central Region Leadership Conference

Eight members of our State Officer Team attended the Central Region Conference, Dec. 2-4 in Omaha, NE.  Team 64 attended the “I AM: A STATE OFFICER” workshop facilitated by Tyler Gassaway. The team developed new leadership skills, networked with other state officers from the Central Regions, and developed a state action team mission statement. Not only did the conference allow DECA members to get “Wild About DECA” but also gain leadership skills that will not only help them with DECA, but every aspect of life.
