Eligibility

Missouri companies providing full-time, permanent employment (a minimum of 35 hours per week) for Missouri residents may be eligible for training assistance if one of the following criteria is met:

New and expanding companies who are creating new jobs with or without substantial new investment.
Companies who are retraining existing employees as a result of expansion of their facility or workforce; or
Companies who are retraining existing employees as a result of the introduction of new products or services or to upgrade quality and/or improve productivity.

Training Activities

Skill Training

Skill Training is instruction in a classroom setting at your place of business, at a local public school or other educational facility.
Instructors may be from your staff, vendor trainers or a combination of both.
Curriculum is based on your specific training needs.
Local Education Agencies coordinate skill training.

Reimbursements

Training expenses that can be fully or partially reimbursed are:
Instructor costs
Instructional supplies (textbooks, workbooks, other expendable materials)
Curriculum development costs
Vendor trainers used in curriculum development or as instructors
Tuition or entrance fees for specialized training courses

All training costs are not reimbursable. You may be asked to share in the total cost of the training. See Policy and Procedures for specific information.
