Nomination forms for the MISSOURI BUSINESS EDUCATION ASSOCIATION award categories of Outstanding Business Educator of Missouri, Distinguished Service, New Professional, and Program of Excellence in Business Education are now available. 

Deadline for nominations is May 1.

Secondary Business Educator of the Year

Postsecondary Business Educator of the Year (other than university/college)

University or College Business Educator of the Year

Nominate one or more Missouri Business Educators for these state-level awards.  If your local or district association honors outstanding or retiring educators, the natural progression is to submit their nominations to the MBEA Awards Committee.  If you submitted a nominee in the past who did not win, please consider resubmitting the nominee this year.  The awards to recognize an outstanding program and dedicated exemplary educators will be presented in July at the MBEA Summer Conference in Springfield.

Award Descriptions
Outstanding Business Educator Award 
The award is designed to recognize business educators who have made significant contributions to business education and who have served in various capacities in MBEA and other professional organizations.  To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be an MBEA member in good standing and serving presently as a business educator.  Other criteria considered are professional memberships and activities, leadership roles in school and community organizations, professional attainments, and self-realization achievements.  Awards are given for secondary, post-secondary, and college/university members.

Distinguished Service Award 
Nominees must be retiring business educators who have made outstanding and meritorious contributions to the development and the advancement of business education, who are members in good standing in MBEA, and who have held MBEA membership for at least ten years.

Program of Excellence in Business Education (Secondary or Post-Secondary) Award 
There are many excellent business education programs in Missouri, and the Program of Excellence in Business Education (Secondary or Post-Secondary) Award is designed to recognize and spotlight one of these programs which best represents outstanding achievement.

New Professional Award
